Dear Resident, We are asking for your continued support in helping reduce thefts and burglaries in our neighbourhood. Many recent incidents are opportunistic and can be prevented by taking a few simple precautions. Please take a moment to review the advice below and share it with family members and neighbours. Protect Your Vehicle Always lock your vehicle, even if you are only leaving it for a short time.Remove valuables, tools, bags, and electronic devices from your vehicle every time.Do not leave tools or equipment in vans or cars overnight – these are frequently targeted.Ensure car keys are never left inside the vehicle.Park in well-lit areas where possible and consider using additional security such as steering locks.Secure Your Home Lock all doors and windows whenever you leave the house, including upstairs windows.Keep doors locked even when you are at home, especially at night.Do not leave house or car keys on display near doors, windows, or letterboxes. Store them out of sight.Ensure sheds, garages, and outbuildings are locked and secured.Register valuable items and mark property where possible.Be Alert If you see anything suspicious, trust your instincts and report it.Look out for neighbours, particularly those who may be away or vulnerable.Consider joining or staying active in your local Neighbourhood Watch scheme.By working together and taking these simple steps, we can all play a part in making our community a safer place.
